Boses team will be attending the Dayaw festival this coming weekend. Originally slated for Tacloban , this annual convergence of indigenous peoples to celebrate their unique cultural traditions, has been moved to Bohol re-programmed to become an Arts for Healing Ritual Outreach in all the major disaster sites in the Visayas;mainstreaming the concept of a Sustainable Arts for Healing, Restoring, and Rebuilding Lives and Culture Program in the afflicted Visayan sites.NCCA with TEATRO BOL-ANON in cooperation with the BOHOL ARTS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE COUNCIL, and Lutgardo Labad of Kasing-Sining are working together to bring this program about which will run all the way to February Arts month. Boses team will document and share some funds from proceeds of all Boses screenings held this November Marami pong salamat sa lahat ng advocacy distribution partners at lahat ng nanood sa Zamboanga del Norte, Pasay, CSI....

A teen-age boy approached Direk Ellen and spoke in a somber tone: "Ma'am, thank you so much. I think I now know what to do." This was right after the showing of "Boses" before students of a Quezon City exclusive boys' school late last year. Immediately sensing the boy may be a victim of abuse, Direk Ellen asked, as a way of advising, "Will you see your guidance counsellor after this?" She was so moved by the encounter that she thought more people need to see the film so that more children can be helped and the problem of child abuse can be checked. Not long after, SM Cinemas agrees to her proposal that Boses be shown nationwide. The film screens on July 31, 2013. If Direk Ellen has her way, she wouldn't want to make this story known. But we believe this is one of the most compelling stories behind Boses, the making and its journey.
